Share and Study with Book Discussions

AAUW-NC has two book groups.  The original group reads and discusses mostly fiction, and their spin-off reads non-fiction.

Mostly Fiction

In June of each year, the Mostly Fiction Group meets to select the books for the following year, based on suggestions from the members.  They also volunteer to host a month, beginning in September, and/or facilitate the discussion of one of the books.  Here is the Mostly Fiction book list for 2014-15:

Non-Fiction

This group meets at 1 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, year around. Contact Karen Tajbl for more information. The books selected through December are:

November 18: A Wall of White: The True Story of Heroism and Survival in the Face of a Deadly Avalanche (near Lake Tahoe) by Jennifer Woodlief
December 16: Searching for Jane and finding myself-an Adoption Memoir by local author, Jan Fishler. Hostess: Janine Martin (we are inviting the author to our meeting and party)
