Tapas & Trivia Team Registration

Back by popular demand —AAUW-NCB (American Association of University Women-Nevada County Branch} invites you to join in our fabulous Tapas & Trivia event to raise funds for scholarships for women and girls in Nevada County.  The event will be held Saturday, April 29th, 4:00-7:00 p.m., in Peace Lutheran Church’s large event room, 828 W Main St., Grass Valley.

You can attend as a spectator or assemble a 4-person team and register in advance. Teams can win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes as well as bragging rights! There will be 3 rounds of 15 trivia questions each. Topics are science, literature, sports, and geography. We encourage teams and their guests to wear clothing representing their organization, e.g., shirts, hats, costumes, bring related props and cheering gear, and decorate a two-sided tabletop poster (8.5×11) with team name, logo, and pictures. (Bring extra posters for guest tables).

All guests and teams will enjoy wine and tasty tapas during the event and can play along with the trivia questions at their tables. 

We have set a goal to raise $25,000 for scholarships which will assist girls and women to attend college next year. All guests are invited to participate in our auctions: silent, live, and scholarship ‘Fund a Need.’ Our board and members will match all ‘Fund a Need’ donations for up to $10,000.

To (1) register your team, and (2) purchase tickets: First complete and submit the REGISTRATION FORM available through the link; then use the Donate button on this website to pay the $150 entry fee (processing fee optional but appreciated if you include) for your 4-person team. Please type “Tapas and Trivia Team Tickets” in the Notes section to indicate you are purchasing tickets for your team. 

To purchase individual tickets:  Use the Donate button and in the Notes section, please type Tapas & Trivia” to indicate you are purchasing a ticket for the event. Tickets are $35/each (processing fee optional but appreciated if you include). Online purchased tickets will be available through will call at the door.
