Gardening Group

The Gardening Group meets designated months of the year, 4th Thursdays, 10 am – noon, to tour gardens or hear a presentation, and share knowledge and ideas with fellow gardeners. As you can see from photos below, they are always doing something interesting! December 2023 (below) – The group returned once again to High-Hand Cafe for a holiday luncheon.

November 28, 2023

Here you see the group gathered in Janine Martin’s garage to create holiday wreaths. As is obvious from the photos, they knew what they were doing! Beautiful, colorful, and handily crafted holiday wreaths!!

On October 26, 2023, the group’s purchased tickets gave them an afternoon of champagne, coffee, scones, fruit, sandwiches, and a creative session in learning how to assemble beautiful pumpkin centerpieces at New Life Nursery in Penn Valley.

 May 25, 2023, the Gardening Group visited Empire Mine, where they were given a tour by fellow AAUW member and Empire Mine docent Kris Vasser.

The group met twice in December. On December 5, 2022, they gathered at Janine’s to assemble Christmas wreaths: Mid-December, they met for lunch at High-Hand Cafe in Loomis.
