Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate Matters
Who needs estate planning? You do–whether your estate is large or small. Virginia Ryan creates customized estate plans so that you can provide for your loved ones and ensure that your health care and personal care decisions are honored.
Virginia is dedicated to helping her clients protect the financial assets that they have worked hard to accumulate and to ensure their family’s well-being. She helps clients make informed decisions on how to minimize taxes and distribute their wealth to their loved ones.
Virginia also advises trustees and executors on how to administer a trust or estate in compliance with California law. For those individuals who die without a will or where a will must be probated, Virginia assists clients through probate court proceedings necessary for the distribution of assets.
About Virginia
For more than 20 years, Ms. Virginia Ryan has counseled clients on complex business law and intellectual property matters, as well as estate planning matters. Prior to moving to Grass Valley in 2011, Virginia practiced law in the Bay Area at large law firms, including Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, Perkins Coie LLP and Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP (now DLA Piper).
Virginia loves to read and considers herself a “life-long learner/student”. Virginia’s passion for learning started earlier than most. She grew up in Sacramento and at the age of 18 received her B.S. in Mathematics with honors from the University of California, Davis. She went on to law school and received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) at the age of 20, making her the youngest graduate of Boalt Hall and the youngest lawyer in California from 1998 to 2007 and seemingly the nation.
Virginia has served on the Board of Directors of Community Legal in Nevada City, The Nest Family Resource Center in Grass Valley and United Way of Nevada County. Virginia has taught Business Law at Sacramento City College and has served as a Pro Tem Judge for the Small Claims Division of the Sacramento County Superior Court.
